I agree that the amount of nav options should remain minimal, but I'd like to suggest pulling out the 'Examples' section, putting it on top and labeling it "Gallery". Suggested code:

I think the "Gallery" is the most impressive part of the Wiki, and it just feels buried as it is right now.

Looks like a positive change.  I agree that the main value in the Wiki as it stands now is the examples.
