I use Zinc to play the games that run too slowly with MAME, and I use the same ROMS for each (.119 or .120, I think).  I've not had any problems running those with Zinc.  I will admit, though, that I've not really tried to play Super World Stadium, so maybe it's a problem with that particular game.

Must be the way I'm configuring Zinc cause none of the games I try work :(  Any good Zinc tutorials out there?  Can't seem to get mine to work properly.

are you getting any errors? Did you download all the bios? Are you using the GUI or command prompt?

If that is so, then you should be able to use clrmamepro to rollback your romset - you just need a .dat file (for Zinc 1.1 or Mame .087u5), and the raw data/rom files.  Your Mame 0.106 romset would be a good start.

Make sure that you rebuild the new (old, 0.088) romset to a new directory, not the old one!  And make sure that you don't opt to automatically "fix" any filenames etc while you are using your 106 romset as a source.

There's plenty of background on clrmamepro available on the website.

You need to make sure that Zinc works from the command line first - only then should you try running it from a front end.  Personally, I found the FEs to all have their problems so I don't actually use them.

Finally, the latest (well, last release) Zinc is v1.1 - get that and the right bios roms.  Send me a PM if you need more help on this.

Unfortunately I have no idea how to run emulators via command line.  I always use a FE which have worked out for me.  I'm willing to give it a go but I guess a good tutorial would be nice, or at least a detailed list on what to do the first time around.

Will v.106 work with Zinc 1.0 or do I have to rollback?  I have never used clrmamepro which adds to the dilemma.

Also, I want to use Zinc 1.0 because it shows the game Super World Stadium 99 playable.  This is really the true reason I'm using Zinc cause I love this game but sometimes it can be a bit choppy in Mame.

Here's the error message I was getting when I try to run Zinc.  I have all the files downloaded but I'm not sure if they're in the right folders  :dizzy:

Thanks for your help!
