Apparently a lot of people do this. I'm not going to allow myself to do that. I'm going to finish it completely before I ever install the computer in it. cause I know I'll end up playing it and never finishing it just like you.

Ouch, That sucks. How bad was the stroke? Entire left side? Or just some parts of your left side. I remember you stating you couldnt grin the same. Hopefully with a bit of effort, you will be kicking the little whip-er-snappers at their own game!

Entire left side which, being a buff bloke like I am, meant I looked very odd over time when muscle atrophy set in. The real pisser though is that I never lost any sensation, so I could feel my leg and arm pulling at the joints where the muscles had become so wasted they could not pull the joints back into the sockets at my hip and shoulder. The Doctors said at 27, it was such an extreme stroke to experience.

6 months on though and things are looking up. I'm beefing back up, I'm almost walking permanently without a stick, and my arm's efficient enough to do a bit of lifting, just not controlled enough for intricate work.

I did manage to go through Final Fight in one sitting quite well though the other day, so I'm not giving up. When they asked me if there's anything I missed and was working towards, I even said I wanna be able to play video games again!

You are the wise one - the keyboard on my desk at home has been replaced by a prototype panel.... I realize now it's going to take a very long time to build a cab!  Oh, I guess my answer to the original question then is: every day (but it's a half-built proto desktop panel, not a cab yet).  It's not all bad though  ;D
Jouster:
Mine mostly gets played when friends come over to watch UFC.  In between fights someone usually gets up and plays a round of something.  I put it upstairs so I'd be less tempted to just stop by and play on it...got too much work to do.

Video games as physical therapy! :D If you think about it, it makes sense. The "forcing" yourself to do things that require agility and dexterity like that can only help.. Plus: You bastard! I NEVER got to complete final fight, even when I had it on the SNES!!! ;)
