No Problemo!!

Glad to help.......  Next time you hit a brick wall, asking on here before panic sets in is a good idea. None of this stuff is as difficult as it first seems and even the complex electronics that come later on (especially with restoration of original machines) is still not as complex as it seems right now.

There's always somebody on here that will help you out when you get stuck.

Best Regards,

Ok, this seems like a good place to ask:

What is the difference between Randy's SHAZAAM! and Andy's Shift? Are they just different names for the same thing, or does Shazzam act differently?

They're similar but not quite the same........ The Shazaaam Key is a dedicated shift key and keyset switching key. Whereas the Ipac uses an exisiting input key to act as the shift key. The downside to the Ipac method is that it can conflict with other key strokes and change their function when you didn't intend to.  It's quite unlikely that would happen, but it is possible.

OK, I get it. I actually am setting up my minipac to have the shift key be dedicated (as opposed to being player one start, due to the potential of a conflict)

Fozzy: it is odd tho.. I am a "yank" who prefers Andy's wares (or is it Andy Warne's??? ;)) And you are a briton  who prefers cheeseburger inhaling, Randy "Guy who likes the Sega Game gear" Travis.... ;)

I appologize ahead fo time for the "Randy Travis" joke and the Game Gear joke; as I was an owner of a sega gamegear and even had the TV adapter for it. (Should have never let that one slip through my fingers!)

Also: Fozzy; never heard back on how to DL Zero Punctuation vids from you....
