Pushbuttons - What's Everyone Preferences...?
RoninEditor:
Personally, I'm looking for something like Galaga, that nice 'pop' to a button that reminds me of the good ol' days. Do you guys prefer one company over another?
For instance, is there a difference between Ultimarc's and Happ's buttons? Ultimarc has only one option (which is helpful for me!), which I'm assuming is the arcade standard, but Happ has the two versions. Of these two, which one is the most "old school"? (As you know) they have the regular "Pushbutton"...

...and then the "Ultimate Pushbutton"...

Sorry for such a noob question, I greatly appreciate everyone's help though.

I went with HAPP...generally what i found people were advising that for performance these were better...i am in the process of building my cp so i guess will have to see.

I go to www.groovygamegear.com for all of my stuff. Randy T, the owner, frequents these boards often and he is a great help.
They sell the typical concave buttons that you see on the front page in their logo. Beware, there are convex buttons out there as well, but he only sells the concave ones, which is what most people use.

Sanwa!!
Japanese parts are awesome. Most of the people here stick to HAPP, but Sanwa buttons feel so much nicer and more precise.
If you are going to go HAPP, Their convex buttons are generally considered a higher quality button, especially in the Fighter community. The Concave are going to be what you're more used to seeing though.

Groovy game gear has buttons that can change colors, which is fun, because only the buttons you use for that game light up, and they can be in the color of the original button.
