6000 Channels and nothing on. Except Gun Fight
Chunce DeLeone:
This is a very general question and probably has been answered in other posts that I can't find because my mind ain't workin right now. Butt had my cousin visit over the weekend. We played Tiger Woods for hours, and with our wives. Pretty cool. But then it comes time when all my talk about thousands of games to choose from falls all over itself because I just can't weed through the myriad of games that two 30 year old's will like to play. We skipped around and I used the random button in Mala and Gun Fight came up, said what the hell. We played gun fight for a half hour. It was the most intense and enjoyable arcade time I have had in years and never would have seen that coming. And I realized the reason Gun Fight worked. 1: Its 2 player Simultaneous(Alternating games like Arkanoid are great but people don't want to wait and I end up not wanting to do well while my guest waits) 2: Its undercomplicated and Charming. 3: The Gameplay is 100% tight and simple yet unlimited in its possibilities especially when playing agianst a human opponent (difference between button mashing and say the spiral technique of Robotron) 4: Its quick intense and to the point.
If you are still reading here is the question:
In all of your arcade party expieriances what games have had sucess? What are some guaranteed winners that 2 or more people can play in a drinking smoking butts situation and have a blast, and Golden Tee and Shuffleshot are already 2 of my top favs for this. Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!

Some other good ones in my experience:
Gauntlet, Tetris, World Class Bowling Deluxe, Boot Hill (same as Gun Fight), Trog, Rodland (for kids), Bubble Bobble, Super Space Invaders '91, Puzzle Bobble (Bust a Move)
RandyT:
Warlords (with 2-4 spinners/paddle controls).

on the topic of Tetris - I highly suggest checking out the Tetris Grand Master series of games. Theres 3 or 4 of them I believe.
But they have a really good Head to head mode, as well as a REALLY interesting Co-op mode. The playfield is 1.5 or 2x as wide as normal, and each player has a block dropping. It gets pretty frantic trying to to not block each other out on the way down to your holes and what not, but its quite fun. And i'm sure if you had a partner you played with often it would get to be an almost telepathic experience.
