I love the irony of "great to see someone giving something" from people having a signature with link for financial artwork  ;D

Wow that was an incredibley offensive reply. I give my help and resources for free and make practically nothing on the sale of my artwork. I really can't get over the attitude of some of the users of this board. I think in future i'll keep both my help and artwork to myself.  :badmood:

Hey, I didn't say I would use this sideart :D I made it to complete the collection, have not decided to use it yet. But if someone is making another project mame, it would be nice to have the sideart too ;)

I included a bezel too. I made one in yellow to start with, but after having it printet, it was too bright, so I have made one in black that should fit the cabinet better. All I need to do now, is having it printet on vinyl :D

Hehehe thats what I figured, but heck just had to throw that out there in case you were changing your mind. PS where did you get that poster, do they have others in similar designs? That would be a cool resource to tap for diy sideart.

I recieved a lot of mails about editable artwork. I decided not to make it editable, but now I have made it editable and in one big ZIP.

Hope you can use it for your own project and if you do, please send me pictures of your cabinet, then I will put them on the homepage ;)

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Looked at these yesterday and have to say I'm not a fan of your admin button placement. Don't they get in the way?

Actually they do not :) They did on the X-arcade, but I moved them a little to the left and out of harms way ;)

Hiya [M]ate!  Very nice.  Looks great.  I love MA and I use MA, but every MA theme is built on the same components.  Right now I am working on a custom theme that is a slight departure from the norm, but the skin program for MA is too basic and sortta sucks. :(

Did you launch the MP3 player in MA to launch to GameEX just for the jukebox?  Interesting...  I've been looking for a good Juke application and the ones that I have tried so far are a PITA.

GameEX is a ugly microsoft look-a-like front-end. But it is a good jukebox none the less. That's why I am using that. I really would like MA to have the jukebox functionality, that would be awesome.

Hey lokeson, found this over at localarcade. I may use your bezel in my design, it is simple but effective, from a distance it's like a runway - like it

I know this is an old topic, but I am planning a Project Mame clone cabinet and I am curious how the side art was applied.  You say it was ordered from allposters.com and your web site said you applied it with adhesive then varnished over it.

Was this ordered as one big poster, or was it pieced together?  How is it holding up, would you do it this way again?

I am interested in full side art, but the cost of a gameongrafix solution is cost prohibitive.

It's holding up very fine, much stronger than a paintjob. It's made from a door poster, two actually, and yes I would do it all over again, if I could find the right poster for the job.
