Newbie Speaker Question

If I pull the plastic casing off a set of PC speakers and put them in my cab do I need to worry about getting a magnet for cancelling out the magnetic field from the speakers, essentially shielding them, or will they remain shielded even out of their casing?

if you've high standards on the sound, and uses it to play mp3...

then go for higher end products or car stereos and so on...

but for normal uses... (like Mame...) computer speak is fine...

(if anyone cares...) I myself uses a 3 piece computer speaker... 1 subwoofer (sort of..) and 2 small speakers...

whether you need to break the case and just install the speaker is up to you....

search the web... you should able to find some nice 3 piece computer speakers around 30-40....

Best Buy has right now the Creative Labs 2.1 2500 system on sale for 29.99 (after $20 MIR).... these are pretty sweet deals. 2 nice woofers, great sub, and a wired remote. They really should just call it the Creative Labs Mame 2500.

Go get it now, because you'll have a hard time getting these speakers for cheaper than $50 anywhere but some scam artist on ebay.

Thanks for all the respnses.  It sounds like pc speakers are the way to go for me.  I don't plan on doing much with mp3's.

This sounds like a decent deal - does anyone else have opinions on these or are there any other good deals out there?  - I may go get these this weekend.  BB is like 50 miles away ( I'm in the middle of nowhere).

It might be overkill, but here's a pretty good deal on a set of Creative Inspire 5.1's.  They're $80 with a $20 rebate so it ends up being a nice price.
