JERICHO SEASON 2 STARTS TONIGHT!

<< < (2/7) > >>

shardian:
Any new watchers of this show? They have really outdone themselves so far for this season. I would hope that the other 7-8 million who watched it at first would come back, as they are getting everything they complained was missing before.

I have one thing to say about the current prime time TV schedule that I think is a big problem - American Idol is RUINING TV as we know it. The show is on 3 nights a week, 2 hours each night. I have no clue why someone would watch such mind-numbing programming 3 nights a week, but they do. Each show has maybe 15-20 minutes of ACTUAL material, and the fill the rest with stupid tension building crap.
I just have to ask the 30 million people who watch this religiously: why would you waste 2 hours watching this junk when you could spend the same 2 hours watching something with actual content?

tk_42_1:
I totally agree.  Thank God for our DVR.  We watch AI but the two hours shows are cut down to about 15-20 minutes and the hour recap is only 5 minutes (just to see who gets sent home.) Me and the wife have more fun trying to decide who is going to be listed on votefortheworst.com then who we think should be kicked off (ei the rocker nurse and the guy who butchered Killer Queen should totally not be there anymore.)

Back to Jericho.  My office mate started watching after she heard me and my boss always talking about it.  She was glad that Sci-Fi is showing the first season and was able to get totally caught up.  Also, why hasn't Sci-Fi picked this show up like they did with Stargate SG-1?

I'm more pissed that Sci-Fi didn't make an offer on Firefly than I am about Jericho. Jericho is not Sci-fi, so it wouldn't fit over there.

tk_42_1:
I agree with you about  the Firefly thing, but Jericho is alternate history (reminds me of Harry Turtledove stuff.)  I think of it more Sci-Fi than most of those horrible Saturday night Horror movies they have on there and don't get me started on Ghost Hunters.

shardian:
4 episodes down, 3 to go. I have to say, I am blown away by what the show has accomplished in 4 episodes. The latest was top notch Television. The ending was really sad, and has set up a big showdown for the last 3 episodes.
