JERICHO SEASON 2 STARTS TONIGHT!
shardian:
Just wanted to make sure everyone was aware. ;)
This will be the only show on tv this season to go from start to finish - only 7 episodes though.
There is an advance review at IGN, and initial buzz for the 7 episodes is very positive.

My wife and I have been looking forward to Jericho stating up again! We really like it last season.

I thought it was a good episode. I'm a fan of the show.

I'll be watching it tonight. The wife was out by 10, so no live broadcast for me. I did sneak a few minutes though. These 7 episodes should all be to the point and action packed. That was what killed them in the 1st season - it just took too long to set up everything and once they did, their audience was gone.
shardian:
Finished watching the premiere a bit ago. That was an excellent episode. At the rate the storytelling is going, they are definitely going to fit a bunch of story into 7 episodes. I figure that most of the secondary cast and stories will be cut out - such as Dale and his grocery store, Deaf girl and boyfriend, etc. Many of the detractors of the show will be very happy for that methinks.
I do have my doubts as to a 3rd season though. The overnight ratings for the premiere was a 4.3/7 . Personally, I think that is a pretty darn good number for a 10pm premiere, and coupled with the fact that hardly any shows have better numbers right now - with the exception of American Idol of course. They are doing a repeat airing on Saturday, and I think the execs will be paying very close to the retention numbers for next weeks new episode. Honestly I think next week will be the make or break ep. to see if the show will come back. If the numbers drop, it will pretty much guarantee that this will be it. If the numbers retain or go up, then I guess we'll see.
Either way, I think these 7 episodes is a huge accomplishment in itself and I will be thoroughly happy either way to see some sort of conclusion to the story.
