cab design idea/help

my screen is 25" too...i've been playing some racing games through it using my bro's n64 and wheel...that's what gave me the idea
i'm really just looking for alternate designs at the moment

How about making the area under the monitor hollow and put wheels on the seat section so you could slide it in? Stowed it would look something like this.

I can see a little problem with monitor angles. You usually want to point it at where the head will be... With the all in one, it might not be practical. But you might be able to get the monitor to rotate a little without much effort.
Also, if you reallly really want to do it right... get rid of the chair... and make it so you can just drag in a lazy boy!

Well 25" monitor would do the job. I've got a 19"... :-[
A Sliding system like that would be cool, but i would think it would have to have railing underneath. Just wheels would jiggle all over the place... and you could forget about play fighting games.

If your control panel is only so deep as seen in the pic... you should then just make a sitdown 'bed' under it. This probably would be awesome comfort for either type of setup. Pedals at the feet - maybe slidable in/out for when not in use... and most importantly, the screen will be at eye level for both.
If you try the example above, your neck will ache... and the angle will strain your eyes giving you a headache. Making a complex tilt mount still wont be as good as sitting level with it.
*** Opps! Looks like I need more sleep! lol I forgot about the driving controls. Well, you could make the controls section removable... or, you could make some sort of lift & lower mechanism for the tv.
