I use Maximus Arcade as my front end.  It's free for 30 days to try out.  After that it's $25 but it was very worth it to me.  I find it super easy to set up and it looks very slick.  Not to mention it's great for people to use and is user friendly.

However, it's not very popular since you have to pay for it.  But to me it was worth it.

See it in action here:

Thanks for the Response for that i will check that out

now i want to get the arcadevga

but for the time being can mame force my geforce video card to output 15khz?

My only beef with maximus arcade was that, for whatever reason, it would cut off a small bit of the top of the screen, regardless of the resolution..however, if I JUST ran MAME on its own, I wouldn't have this problem.

Strange, that never happened to me.  Did you try deleting the .ini file for Maximus Arcade first.  Maybe the settings got altered somehow.  By deleting the .ini file it sets it back to the defaults.

I would post that problem in the forums on their website, I'm sure it's a quick fix.

By the way, my arcade that you see there does not have an arcade VGA (yet).  It's been running great without one using an onboard Nvidia GeForce 7 chipset.  I had bad luck using a program called "soft12khz" but I did run a program called "powerstrip" which is free for 365 days.  My time will be running out, so I decided to purchase an Arcade VGA 2 (it's not here yet).  Once you install and configure powerstrip, everything else runs automagically.  No need to configure MAME.

You can read how to do it here (you simply have to cut and paste some info into the powerstrip.ini file for it to recognize the 15khz resolutions)

Good luck!
