That's the problem with these super luxury cars. It costs a fortune to run them. People make that mistake a lot. They buy a cool Rolls or Bently or even a big BMW for practically no money and they find out quickly why these cars cost so little when bought second hand.

It's a great looking car, but I hope your pockets are deep enough to keep it running.
danny_galaga:

yep, its funny but a lot of luxury cars here REALLY drop in value quickly because of that. and aussies tend to drive their cars a bit longer than some countries so to be able to repair it relatively cheaply is a plus. a friend of mine has his bmw on bricks  ;D . freakin cool car but he is useless with money...

still, that IS pretty low miles on that mercedes paige. heres hoping its only what you hope. and yes, i was reading a rebuild article on a 300sl gullwing and they were still able to get the fuel injection system rebuilt for that (worlds first production fuel injection system)
boykster:
Nice choice.....that's always been one of my favorite merc models from that era......

It's amazing how much value the thing is holding.  I sold my 1998 Dodge Neon for like $1300 and it had 125k miles on it.
ChadTower:

Reconsider that as a percentage of MSRP.  You'll probably find the difference isn't all that much relative to what it originally cost.
