You can look at it either way I guess.  I took the monitor/VIDEO forum to be more of video topics.  My topic is really a building question!  But if people wanna be picky, so be it, either one works just the same.  Anyway....

Thanks for the dimensions on the bezel in which I asked for.  I never asked for the dimensions for the monitor.  I have the monitor already and all the dimensions.  And yes I did do a search on "bezel" (on this msg board) and didn't come up with any dimensions.

paigeoliver:

As far as I have seen all normal arcade monitor bezels fit all true arcade monitors with the same size tube as the bezel. They also fit most television tubes of the same size (but not flat screens, or Wegas or anything like that).

Standard bezels do not properly fit kiosk monitors or PC monitors even if you do decase them (it is close, but the curve of the tube is different).

After looking over the dimensions of the happs bezel, I am gonna have to come up with something on my own.  The dimensions of the plans I will be using has the width only being 26", the bezel is 29 1/2".  I could modify the bezel a bit but I can probably come up with something myself now knowing more on the topic.

Thanks Paigeoliver for clearing things up for me.  And thanks again Snaaake for the bezel dimensions.  Saved me some $$.

Lilwolf:

You can try this instead.

Get some smoked plexi... and some black construction paper.  The cut the window size out of the construction paper, and put it behind the smoked plexi.

This should work well for most people.

Wade:

I recommend the Happs bezel.  It fits perfectly with a 27" monitor and IMO it helps make a cabinet look more authentic.  The Happs bezel is intentionally oversized and is meant to be trimmed down on the size and top to fit the application.
