This is the underside of the CP from the Tank II I'm restoring. The sticky bob is still there holding strong after more than 30 years.

And I tore apart cabinets where the sticky bob are all hanging all over the place and I've used sticky bobs where they've fallen off in 1/5 of the time that bob you have there has been sticking.

I'm not sure, but I think 3M is all you can get at Home Depot. Or was it Radio Shack? I forget. In any case, I've tried about half a dozen brands from different places and the end result is generally the same. They fall off. Different brands fall off differently than others though. To 3M's credit, their foam turned brittle and crumbled before the sticky portion failed, that was about... fifteen years ago I think. 3M has a goo-like substance now so it might last longer. :dunno

You can get the type that are designed to have a screw put through them as well. I will be using those.
