Are you able to hack a PS3 dualshock3 controller? I just need the PS button to work to boot the PS3...

it's for a driving cab, I have a logitech wheel and the PS button can't boot the PS3. So i was planning to hack a PS3 dualshcok 3 only to have the PS button to boot my PS3 inside my cab. So just the PS button who can boot the PS3
