Thanks :) I was wondering, maybe it's a stupid question, but: would be possible mounting a screw in type stick (like the Magstick) without "creting a recess" in the panel for it's square shaped base? I mean, removing my easy-mounting sticks and replace them with a pair of magsticks, inserted and screwed from under the control panel? In this order: handle floating disc Panel hole with the stick going trough Square shaped base Instead of: handle floating disc panel overlay recess with square shaped base panel hole with switches foing trough |

It depends on the thickness of your panel. With a thick panel you would have to rout out the bottom to get a decent stick height above the panel..... If you panel is thin enough to get a playable height then you would have to think about how much abuse you are going to give the stick, because of the length of screw used..... You can just screw it into the bottom of your panel but as stated if you are a heavy handed player you stand the chance of ripping the screws out, that's why they are normally bolted all the way through. |
