Same thing here.  I have a 20" monitor at home I was thinking of using for my cab.  Measured the vertical and it is basically the same as a 26" LCD TV I have been testing with.

Has anyone done the measurements to see how wide you would need to go with a 16:9 TV to get roughly the same vertical as a 27" 4:3 TV?

I never thought about doing it that way. I think one would need to buy a larger LCD to do this making it not worth it.

Here is some more numbers. I have a 32" LCD in my bedroom and the measurements are 27.5 X 15.5.
At this rate to get more than 20" width we would need a huge screen.
My 48" in my living room is 23 X 42. At this rate its going to be huge. :laugh2:
