UncleT, Yes I moved the reciever about 3 feet away from the jukebox and it was alot better. I may just add some wire on to the antenna or put the reciever somewhere else in relationship to the juke. I am running a monitor and pretty good size speakers in my cab and could be a problem. I even had it setting on top and still had problems but once I moved it away it is alot better. I do have a question, I am using Volume Touch which uses ctrl, shift and up and down keyboard buttons for volume control. I then have my ipac programmed for this and I don't use the volume on SK and it stays on 100% volume all the time. The reason I do this is some my lighting has a continues volume to the lights at all times even when changing the main volume on the computer. The problem is when I setup pcrc for control of ctrl, shift and up or down it will not work. It would be nice to have that option and for now I ave just set it up for Sk's volume. Which I guess is ok since if i'm out of the room i'm not going to see the lights anyway. There is one thing that needs added to your instructions that I had a problem with in step 5. I had to open pcrc which is not mentioned. 5) Go into "File/Settings" menu and set the following, then do File/Save: Recognition Tab Set the recognition parameters as indicated in (4) above General Tab check "Launch on Windows Startup" check "Load minimized on Tray" Origin of Control uncheck "Serial Port" (since we are not using this interface) Other than that fantastic instructions! --- Quote from: digitaldj on April 13, 2008, 02:31:00 pm ---Ok I have made some progress but for some reason I can't get any range. I am lucky to get outside the room where my juke is. What is typical range on these? --- End quote --- I have the Remote Wonder II. It has worked from far away when I first tested it but I noticed sometimes even when I am close to the receiver it wont respond to my button presses. I found that when holding the remote parallel to the ceiling, pointing the the remote at the antenna, it usually will not respond. If I hold the remote pointing at the ceiling(parallel to antenna) it works 100% of the time. Maybe this is just something with my environment. It's kind of odd pointing it up because I want to point it at the device as if it's an IR remote. At this point it doesn't really matter since you guys are all setup with PCRC, but was just wondering why I did not see anyone mention the ATI Remote Wonder plugin SDK. Is there a specific reason that was avoided or were you just unaware of it? Also it looks like the Remote Wonder Key Factory plugin does what you wanted, or is it missing some features? Someone else already mentioned it but http://remotew.free.fr/ is a really good site for Remote Wonder plugins, etc. |

Look what I found the other day: http://www.salling.com/Clicker/mac/ (Yes there also is a Windows version). Enables you to remote control about everything on your Mac (/PC) with your phone through Bluetooth. I downloaded the demo and had it running in seconds ! You get playlists on the phone from iTunes (or WMP) and even the image you connected to that song ! It's like you have an iPod in your hands that remotely controls your Mac/PC !!! It will also let you put the Mac in sleepmode f.i. But you can even control Frontrow, or even the mouse. Also works brilliantly with Keynote (PowerPoint) ! After trying it for 5 minutes I bought a license...this is just amazing IMHO. |

Hmmm but can it work with any of the jukebox solutions? |
