I just made one killer breakfast!
Jdurg:
It is always awesome when you take a bunch of random things out of your fridge/freezer and combine them into one amazing concoction. I was hungry for a breakfast like meal, but didn't have anything ready to make. I looked around and saw the following things in my fridge/freezer that I could put together;
2 Large Eggs
Some Skim Milk
A few Crimini Mushrooms
3 Baby Onions
3 Slices of Thick, Center Cut Bacon
Two Steak-Um slabs
Some Cheddar Cheese
Some Steak Sauce
Salt and Pepper
I fried up the bacon in a pan on the stovetop and set it aside to drain on some paper towels. I then cooked up the Steak-Um steak and let them drain as well. When cool, I chopped them up into smaller chunks and made two piles of each.
After removing a few tablespoons of grease from the pan, I threw in the mushrooms and onions which were chopped up and added salt and pepper. They quickly browned and reduced in size and when at my level of satisfaction I put them aside to drain as well. Once more in two piles.
I then took the two eggs, a few tablespoons of the milk, and a small little spoonful of the shredded cheddar cheese and put it in my food processor. I then added one of the piles of bacon, steak, mushrooms, and onions. I whipped it up in the food processor to meld all the flavors together.
With the pan still hot and having some grease remaining, I put the egg mixture in the pan and let it cook a little bit. I then threw in the other piles of ingredients to add some chunkiness to my mixture. It was mixed up together and wound up being a great mixed scrambled egg mix.
When it was cooked to my satisfaction, I put it on a plate and drizzled some steak sauce over everything.
Holy good lord this was amazingly good. It's always awesome when random ingredients work together to create the best meal you've had in a while. ;D

Hehe. Yeah, but at least I'll go out happy. ;D
The only reason I didn't call it an omelette is because it wasn't one whole concoction. My non-stick pan is no longer non-stick, so the egg stuck to the pan and by the time I worked it loose the thing was more like scrambled eggs with stuff inside rather than an omelette.

sounded good to me mate, wish i could be bothered with that in the morning rather than just cereal.
probably worth getting a new frying pan too, i think once the non stick goes their a bit dodgy. ive just got a new pottery frying pan, its awesome. glazed rather than non stick.
Jdurg:
Yeah, the only reason why I still have it is that when I moved into my house my parents had replaced it with a better one so they gave me the leftover. Since I had absolutely nothing, it was better than what I had. ;) It still does the job of cooking things, but it's quite convex in shape now so it's really difficult to evenly heat things. Eventually I'll replace it, but for right now I can just deal with it.
I typically don't cook in the morning, but on the weekends by the time I wake up it's close to lunch time and I don't mind spending some time putting together a good meal. This will last me until later on today when I head out to see Ozzy Osbourne at the arena near my house. Looking forward to it. ;D
