MAMEWAH v1.62b13a and Project 64 v1.7.0.55

Andypc:

--- Quote ---If you can run them successfully from the menu, I would try to start Project64 from a command line outside of Mamewah until you can figure out the correct syntax.  For example at a C prompt in your c:\n64 directory try to start project 64 with an actual rom name, like:

Code:
project64.exe "c:\N64\ROMS\Banjo-Tooie.zip"

--- End quote ---

I can run games successfully from the menu within Project64. I just tried to start Project64 from a command line outside of Mamewah using the above and got the same error message "Attempt to open file failed."  I have tried everything above. Is there a wrapper for v1.7?

Thanks
Andy

SGT:

I don't use a wrapper with Mala.  I am able to run the following from the command prompt with no problem (obviously my path is different than yours):

--- Code: ---project64.exe "e:\emulators\pj64\roms\banjo-tooie.zip"
--- End code ---

The only way I get the error that you have is if I specify the wrong path or rom name.  Is Banjo-Tooie.zip in this folder?:

--- Code: ---C:\N64\ROMS
--- End code ---

Check out my INI files posted here:

I realize it is a different vesrion of Project64 but doubt the settings have changed.

Good Luck,
John

Zebidee:

Make sure you read your "mamewah.log" file, and see what it says.  Just right click the file and "Open with" notepad or wordpad in Windows.  You can associate the .log file extn with notepad to allow opening it by just double clicking.

Keep in mind that later versions of Project64 need quotes around the rom and path.   Some earlier versions will error with the quotes.  Also until he can determine why he cannot run from a command line, running from Mamewah seems pointless.
