Hi

I am having real problems getting Project 64 v1.7.0.55 to work with Mamewah. I am using Mamewah V1.62b13a. I have tried the CPViewers suggested commadline: -

C:\N64\project64.exe [rompath]\[name].[romext]{nodosbox}{safelaunch}

I have also tried every variation that I can think of, with no luck! Project64 starts and I get the error message "Attempt to open file failed." It all works fine if I open the roms from within Project64, but not with Mamewah.

I found a couple of Wrappers for Project64 v1.6, but they don't work with V1.7 and I can't find one specifically for V1.7.

Unfortunately this is for my Arcade Cabinet so I need to be able to use a Frontend. Preferably Mamewah as I have it correctly set-up for 9 other emulators and don't want to change.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
Andy

That sucks!
Did you try this one? http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=73330.0

I don't use Mamewah, but in Mala for version 1.7.0.49 of Project 64 I had to use quotation marks around the rom and rom path.  I know earlier versions would not work with quotation marks.  If I do not use quotation marks, I get an error.  So without knowing Mamewah, for your version I would suggest:

--- Code: ---C:\N64\project64.exe "[rompath]\[name].[romext]"{nodosbox}{safelaunch}
--- End code ---

Just tried that and got a Plugin not initialised error message!

I wonder if now that you have the correct syntax, you're seeing a different issue with your plugins.

Are you able to just start up Project 64 manually and run games successfully from the project 64 menu? If you cannot, sounds like you need to try a different plugin.  You're not using Vista are you?

 If you can run them successfully from the menu, I would try to start Project64 from a command line outside of Mamewah until you can figure out the correct syntax.  For example at a C prompt in your c:\n64 directory try to start project 64 with an actual rom name, like:

--- Code: ---project64.exe "c:\N64\ROMS\Banjo-Tooie.zip"
--- End code ---

And again without the quotes. Obviously changing my example to your rom path and rom name.
