Hope you get to keep the scrap lumber for builds!

Color me jealous right now, that thing is going to be so fun tricking out!

I'm pretty sure I can, as the buddy of mine who built a bit smaller one brought over lots of his scraps from his build.
The ultimate goal is that the front area with the window will be a small room for a dedicated relax/arcade area, mainly to move a few things out of our cramped basement. I also want another small little "clean" room with a workbench and good lighting for the electronics workbench.
Front near the garage door will be storage for the lawnmower/atv/snow blower, and then the rest will be workshop space. I'm guessing it'll feel really empty for a few years until I eventually get some larger-scale tools.

The building was finished up at about 5:15pm Friday. Next up is to get concrete. Met with several electricians as well to get a meter put on the building and the panels wired up. I'll be taking the wiring from there.

You are pouring the floor AFTER the building is up?  Isn't that backwards?  Sorry, this pole building is totally foreign to me.

All foreign to me as well, but apparently this isn't that uncommon. I was surprised when I found out as well.

Should make adding floor plugs and various cables through the floors really really easy.

PS.  This brings back memories of my dads friend when I was probably 7.  He had a small guest house that was just old school arcade games for 1991 so 80s games.  Was the coolest thing I had ever seen.
He even had a trampoline that was level with the ground thanks to a huge hole it slid right into.  Nothing like running full speed, hitting it, and seeing how far you could jump.
"He lives down there in his valley,
The cat stands tall and green,
Well, he ain't no prize, and there's no women his size,
And that's why the cat's so mean"

Just saw this. Yeah, that's a nice building.

Putting some floor drops for your games would be an excellent idea. Do away with unsightly runs of power cables.

Went outside this morning at 9am to the last of the 3 concrete trucks going away. Inside concrete is finally done (though they're waiting for it to dry to finish smoothening it).
Within the next week or so I should have a handful of internal lights wired up and should be building arcade machines within the month (I have 12 people waiting on machines...figured I'd build a handful before insulating and finishing the inside of the building to recoup some expense)

Life is good. Pictures tomorrow.

Finally got to a point of being ready to share pics. I wired up a bunch of circuits to the panel and FINALLY have lights and more than one outlet. I plan to add a bunch more circuits over time (celing and workbench wall), but it's far enough for me to switch gears for a bit...and I'm tired of working in the rafters in 100+ degree heat.
The framed out room you see is temporarily storage until I get shelves etc built, but eventually will become my man cave/arcade....it's about 14x20.

Good eye!
Last pair that I made I made an extra side template. Hoping that saves me lots of time going forward!

ok, since people want more updates on projects, i'll update this thread, even if it's not actually a cabinet.

Got the first wall nearly insulated last night, just in time for tonight's snowmageddon (ok, 1 inch predicted). Was a balmy 40 degrees last night in the barn...looking forward to having the insulation up, walls installed, and the second half of the barn's electrical turned on (finished wiring that second half earlier in the week)

I still can't believe, a year after initially moving dirt that not only did the wife approve of this thing, she originally suggested it...and kept telling me to go bigger.  This thing started out as nothing more than a little shed to store the lawn mower in.
Kinda makes me wonder how much longer my key will work in the house door, now that I think about it....

You have to ask her permission for your shed? Get your balls out of her purse. :-)

just kidding, can't wait to see how this ends. I'm contemplating a shed build for next summer.

Been a while since the last update. Along with working full time, I'm a part time college student (I have an associates, finally decided to go back and get a bachelor's for the career I've actually been in for the last 15 years...). Since the fall semester finished I've been cramming like crazy to update my MCSE to 2012 (My 2000 cert feels a bit old), so there hasn't been much free time for the barn, but fitting in work when I can.
I've installed RGB LED strips along the porch, connected to a WEMO switch. I also finished the walls 2 nights ago. Tonight I finished hauling in the last of the 55 sheets of OSB to do the ceiling...hoping to start on that Friday afternoon (Friday morning is my 2012 exam...yikes...I should be studying and not posting here.)
It's been between 30-32 degrees inside the building the last week or so, but doesn't feel bad at all once you get working.

I'm curious, what board thickness did you use for the OSB cladding? I'm about to order this stuff for a false wall in my garage and not used it before.
