Just wondering... I know US modchip sellers have had their bells rung recently, but I don't hear much from anyone about making major moves against  game software piracy... distribution or dl'ing... anyone have anything interesting?

shardian:
The guys who ran Elitetorrents got shut down and also were handed federal prison terms.

RayB:
They do, but only the RIAA wastes money on distributing press releases to make sure it runs in every newspaper and the 6 oclock news.

danny_galaga:

i was wondering this about those 48-1 boards etc. they are patently using pirated software (eg mame plus roms) yet even the arcade operators use them...

polaris:
There's been a case of a dude in the uk recently who ran a site hot linking to video players like google video etc.
He's been arrested by FACT and had his site shut down. Funnily enough they are not taking google to court for hosting the illegal material.
