Which light gun should I buy? I'm trying to decide between the Act-Labs or the LCD/EMS Topgun. Thanks, Xb0x3r |

But maybe new info. has come to light, based on recent user experiences. ** The type of monitor or TV you're using, is one factor in deciding which light gun to buy. Are you using a CRT display, or other display type (LCD, plasma, etc.) ?? >> If you're NOT using a CRT (eg, LCD, plasma, etc.), then the LCD Top Gun is the only option. ** Another factor is "how far back" you wish to stand from the display ?? >> This is not a factor with the ACT Labs guns. However, with the LCD Top Guns, you need to stand back a minimum of 3 feet "for every" 1 foot gap between the LCD bars that must be placed on either side of the display. So, the wider the display, the further you'll need to stand back. |

Also...with the TopGun you need to use LCD sensor bars...so if you are using the guns in a cabinet, you will have ugly sensor bars on the sides of your screen |

I have the act light guns They do work pretty nice, the only thing that does suck, since they aren't IR based, then you move the gun, the crosshairs dont move, only when you hit the trigger, will the crosshair/cursor move. |
