Real or not? You decide.

LMAO. I need a good laugh so I'm glad I read that idiot's webpage. OH NO MAN, THEY'RE OUT TO GET US!!!! WHERE'S MY TIN-FOIL HAT? This dude knows this dude who like, worked for the cable company man. They're totally watching us!!!!!!!
Gimme a break. If this were true, then wouldn't the hundreds of thousands of people who have hacked apart cable boxes and TVs discovered this already? lol. :laugh2: :laugh2:
Besides, even if it was true, who cares? I ain't doing anything illegal. If they want to watch me jerking off to pornos, or playing video games, or getting drunk off ---my bottom---, then they're more than welcome to. Their loss. :laugh2:

Besides the technical er... defects in his argument, why go through all that effort? Quite a bit of the technology he claims to cite as secret government only BS is readily available to anyone with a screwdriver and little electronics knowledge. Hell, when I was about 8 or so, I could tune into peoples telephone conversations with the car radio if my mom parked the Mustang a certain way under some phone lines. I have a scanner that still picks up cell conversations to this day.
And he doesn't even bother touching on anything real to even make his argument even remotely realistic. How about the TV monitoring they do in Europe? You know, the drive a van around to see if everyone paid their TV taxes?
I'm more terrified of the scanning machines ala Total Recall that can strip off your clothes. I don't want any security guard to see how small my pecker really is.
tommy:
Tommy now takes apart his cable box to investigate. ;D
Akuma:
--- Quote ---It is possible for the cable companies to tune in to any house with cable installed and listen in and see what is happening at any particular time.

I guess the guys at the cable companies are busy watching Raven Riley's living room...
(In case you don't understand the joke, you might google her if you are 18+ years old. She practicises her "profession" in front of her TV most of the time...)

Actually, Ive suspected they were doing it. I havnt read the entire thing, but it
more than likely real.
1stly, they already can turn on (when its off) your phone from remote, and listen in on your
conversations. This has already been proven fact. I believe they also track it with GPS.
Why not cable spying?
In fact, its easier to spy with cable. The boxes are huge... have Hard Disks to store
oogles of recordings... and mysteriously start their drives up (when off) on a frequent
basis.
Its easy to hide Mics into such devices. And of course any speaker can be tapped
as a mic. Cameras are not as easy to hide.. but it can be done. Especially when
people are not thinking to crack open their boxes to inspect for them. Cameras
can also be images made up of something like how bats see (sonar?). And cameras
could be disguised as some other part or dual function part. (Led when on, camera
captures when off)
Its probably also able being done with modern PC hardware. Mics secretly tapped.
Cameras snapping images occasionally. Info leaked in packets during normal transmissions (masked). And cable modems mic'd too?
I do really find it funny that people arent willing to think this is possible, yet
they KNOW cell phones are tapped!!! Quite stupid and Naive.
