My brother-in-law is Scotish and his family definately wrapped their presents.  One thing I seem to remember him saying is that they don't put up Christmas lights until Christmas eve, in America we put them up shortly after Thanksgiving (end of November).

Merry Christmas all from another from Scotland! Having a break at work for breakfast, just preparing myself for a busy afternoon.  ;D

Not sure what other's do but mine go up 1st of december every year.  ;)

a lesser man might mention that its something to do with them not wanting to pay for the electricity but not me :D

traditionally youre only supposed to put the christmas stuff up christmas eve for the twelve days of christmas.where this stems from i dont know, but it could be a german thing.

im guilty as others of starting one in the main forum but shouldnt these threads be in PnR ;D
