DeLuSioNal29:
I'm building my first MAME cab. I eventually plan to buy a Robotron arcade, but that will be way in the future. :) I'm pretty good at electronics and building things. So I would not mind helping out. Where are you located exactly? ito bandito (the user who started this thread) has a MAME cabinet and he is becoming an arcade collector. He has 4 machines not including the Mame cab. I'll let him tell you what games he has. He also has quite a console collection! He has a retro gaming show called "RetrowareTV" (www.retrowareTV.com) where he reviews classic console games. I plan to be more involved in future shows as well. Right Ito? ;D Glad to hear that there are other "enthusiasts" in our region! ~ DeLuSioNaL |
Jdurg:
I would love to be able to get some dedicated cabinets, but I simply don't have the room for it. I just bought my first house, and it's not exactly a mansion. (Don't get me wrong, it's got plenty of space, but it doesn't have a huge game room that I can create and only has enough room for the one cabinet I'm building). Anyway, I'm out in New London County about 5-minutes away from the Mohegan Sun Casino. I'm starting out small by building the CP first to get used to my tools and the whole hobby, then I'll have the cabinet built around the CP. It's difficult being in this part of the state since it's not really an arcade "hub", so to speak, like NYC or other major cities are. I grew up in the area and distinctly remember the Norwichtown Mall Arcade and the Crystal Mall's Arcade. Both those places took much of money as a youth. ;D |
SirPeale:
There's a ton of us in the New England area. I'm in Brattleboro, VT, which isn't far from CT. |
ChadTower:
I'm over by Gillette Stadium in MA. FWIW, I am all dedicateds, have only a passing interest in MAME as a tool. I do almost all vectors and pins. |
Jdurg:
I've passed through Foxborough before on my way back to CT from Walpole, MA. (Got lost getting out of Walpole and just ended up following one road straight back into CT and eventually onto Route 12 South). I remember the roads being quite narrow and intersecting in odd manners down in Foxborough. Mustn't be too much fun in the winter. |
