BORIStheBLADE:
Most games will have a two, three, four and six button layout and we all setup most of our control panels to be a 6+1 or just a 6 button layout. I am looking to see what people are doing with their arcades to show the button layout per game. Is there a way to have in the frontend screen when it show your game and snapshot  show a button layout for that game so you know which buttons to use?
I think it would be cool and helpful at the same time.

Thanks

With Mala, and LEDwiz, and LED-lit buttons, you can have only the buttons that are in use for a game light up.

I use CPVIEWER in conjunction with Mala.

Headkaze has something similiar called CPWIZARD (see thread in this forum).  This can also be used from within MAME along with your frontend.

..I should also add that GameEx and Atomic can do that too.

and MaLa and GameEx can also use the PacDrive to light up the buttons.
youki:
Atomic can use PacDrive too.

And i have also a plug'in that display on screen all information on game   including control it uses while your are browsing the game list.

this plugin's is still under developpment , and graphics need to be enhanced but it works well.

Here a preview :

You could also use tool  lile CPViewer  (Control Pannel Viewer) or CPWizard or Johnny5 (i guess)  to display the panel layout before running the game.
