| Bartop stand? |
| (1/2) > >> |
| TOK:
Looking to make a non-table stand for my bartop. Ideally, it'd be standing height of a normal machine, and possibly even incorporate a coin door so it kind of mimics a cabaret when its on the stand. The biggest challenge may be keeping it out of the way of the users feet while still keeping it stable. I suppose if totally necessary, I could put on a hook to secure it to a loop on the wall, but thought I'd seek suggestions first. |

Throw a bag or 2 of 40kg cement mix in the base. Sucker ain't going anywhere with those inside. Cheap too! |

My not just mount it to the wall at the appropriate height. Other than this I would be too worried it would flip over due to all the weight making it very top-heavy. |

You don't see Dolly Parton falling around all over the place. |

If it were me, I'd make the base foldable or something. Otherwise I'd be asking myself "why did I build a bartop in the first place if I'm just going to have a stand that will take up almost as much room when the top half is removed?" Of course this is going the opposite direction of your question in fact making it harder to weight the bottom to keep it sturdy... :dunno P.S. Attached is my MSpaint folding base idea to make it fold flat. |
