HeadRusch:

Just got the regular spinner (had to, space considerations!)...with engraved knob......Oscar Rulez :)
Now....to think about taking a sharpie to black out the MAME in the knob..Hmmmm ;)

Howard_Casto:

Guys anything simply printed or painted onto a knob or dial will eventually be wore down by the oils in your hands.  Keep that in mind.

Brax:

The recess should greatly add to life of any paint or marker application. Not to mention your hand hardly touches the center of a spinner.

I use a Sharpie over the engraved serial numbers of thread gauges and such in an industrial application. It lasts a year easy, even in those nasty conditions. It'll be fine in your home. Take a look at the engraving...... You're not getting into those crevices. It's silly to think your hand will wear it off! Gawd.

Don't get me wrong I love my Oscar engraved spinner, but you can't beat a real Tempest knob for playing tempest...just wish someone who was in the spinner business would start producing them again...hint hint.... ;)
