Coin Door LED's
bent98:
I also have a question about wiring the coin door with the IPAC does the switch need power? What do I connect to where?
Franco:
Connect the bulbs to a 12v power supply (eg PC PSU). You could also control the lights by a LED WIZ etc but take note those bulbs have a built in resistor designed to work of 12v and the LED wiz supplies 5v so you would require a different lighting solution.
You don't connect the bulbs to your IPAC, you only connect the micro switches on the coin door which register coin drops.

I know how to wire the bulbs. I was talking about the micoswitch. There are 3 connectors on each switch. What do I connect where?
Franco:
Ah, apologies.
The three contacts are ground (the one on the side), normally open and normally closed.
Most arcade coin mechs/buttons/joysticks etc use the normally open contact as when the button etc is pressed the circuit is completed.
Daisy chain both of the micro switches grounds and connect them to one of the ground terminals on the IPAC. Then connect a wire to each of the normally open terminals on the micro switches (dont daisy chain them) and run the separate wires to the Coin 1 and Coin 2 terminals on the IPAC.

So there is no power going to these switches. I wasnt sure if coin door return was mechinical or electric.
