Post sanding paint question

Namco:
I'm at the sanding/paint phase of my cabinet work. I've sanded the cab with medium grit sandpaper and intend on painting over the existing roughed/smothed paint with a fresh coat of black semi-gloss latex on a foam roller. The question I have is about the amount of dust on the cabinet after sanding. It's coated with a fine black layer of dust. Do I wipe that stuff off with damp rags or just paint over it?

myntik1:
this may seem like a silly reply, but you've already invested the time and energy why not take 3-5 minutes and wipe it clean.  I've always made sure whatever surface I'm painting is clean and I've never had any issues.
TheOne:
Yeah, I would go to Home Depot or Lowes and get some tack cloth.  It would take less time to wipe it than you took sanding it.
Namco:
Yeah totally right, I didn't know if it mattered or not, but obviously I shouldn't be lazy and should just give 'er a wipedown. lol
WunderCade:
Shouldn't you also primer it first with Kilz or something so those swirls you worked into the finish with the sandpaper don't show through the new paint?
