bangladesh

This disaster has not been in the news much though. At least not in the Netherlands. It seems like overhere a bigger story is if they should cut the chestnut tree in the backyard of the Anne Frank house or not.
The EU and UN both seem to have pledged €6 million and Saudia Arabia has pledged $100 million.

It really hasn't gotten much coverage here either. I wouldn't have missed it if it had.
That said, to make up for my dumbassity, I'm trying to donate $5 via the US link but the page isn't working. It keeps indicating a problem with my submission info but not what the problem is... :banghead:
mr.Curmudgeon:
Turns out you can only donate locally after all. :P
danny_galaga:
yeah, those links were 'serving suggestions only'. you might prefer to donate to someone else. just thought id create a thread because i know lots of people see stuff on the news and think 'i must donate something sometime'. they never do, and yet their computer is no doubt already turned on.
i was amazed at the saudi government pledge. i guess theyve realised yuo cant take it with you ;)
JackTucky:
Eff bangladesh. The corporations that put U.S. jobs there can pay their bills.
