People whining about the ending in this thread prompted me to go see the movie.

So your saying the director purposely ruined an almost great movie, so that people would talk about how he ruined it? Thats a very odd director. Seems like most directors would want people to talk about how great their movie is, not about how they screwed up.
Well since you like to go see movies that have a bad twist endings, I'd recommend you rent High Tension which has possibly the worst twist ending of any movie I've ever seen. It just doesn't make any sense to the rest of the movie.

Yes, the twist ending contradicted WAY too many previous happenings in the movie.

Sorry to continue this thread that has run its course, but I think it's funny to call the film "Stephen King's The Mist."
He authored the original story upon which the film is based, but I don't think it's fair to accuse him of actually being the mist. :)
