Speaking of strange things on eBay...
HaRuMaN:
My wife had some books she wanted to get rid of. It's an antique children's book collection called "My Book House" printed in 1937. We had checked some auctions to see what they were going for, and we saw one set similar to ours go for around $120. I didn't want to set my hopes too high, so I thought that I'd be happy if we ended up getting around $80 bucks for the set. My wife thought we'd get around $50. So, I set the reserve to $35 dollars and set up an eBay ad.
Much to our suprise...
The bids are now up to $280! That's bonus Christmas money, now.... hehe
Oh, here's a link if you wanted to see: my auction

Hey that's cool. I am auctioning an old tablet digitizer for CAD programs right now. The boss threw it in the trash pile, so I did a quick search for its value, which ended up being $50-$150 on ebay. Needless to say, I am hoping for a bit of extra Christmas cash too. ;D
Shameless plug link

wasnt there a thread on how people increase the price of things on ebay through crafty means and such?
Id never sell my books though. i loves me cat in the hat, shadows of the empire, and machine crusade. wow 280. id like to see the buyers face when they get the book and see 4.95 on the back above the barcode (if it has one).
