B&K Rejuvenator broken latch fix
« on: November 13, 2007, 11:53:04 am »
I've done this on several model 467 rejuvenators. The original molded plastic latch securing the cover (lid) breaks off from normal use. I replace with these latches commonly available at any hardware store. See the attached picture. I'm sure you could do this with other B&K models too.

Great idea... I have several other plastic molded cases I should do this with, thanks.

You could also install a length of "piano hinge" on the back of the lid to replace the molded plastic hinge (if it's broken that is).

Updating this old thread with a closer picture of another 467 I just repaired with these latches.

I use #6 by 3/8" long flat head sheet metal screws and #6 by 1/2" long flat head sheet metal screws to attach the new latches. Drill a 1/16" pilot hole for the screws.
