Marquee Light Question

sikarkades:

I am wondering if you can install an external switch to control the "under-cabinet" marquee light. I would like to put a hidden switch for turning the light on/off. It is a standard kitchen style with a normal plug.

DaOld Man:

Yes, you can put a switch anywhere you want, cut one of the wires going to the fixture, and attach the switch to the two wires you have after cutting the one.
Post a pic of your fixture, showing the cord, if you need more info.

sikarkades:

What type of switch? A 110 v switch obviously then? Do they make any nice looking switches that would be capable of doing this?

northerngames:

google ""spdt toggle switch"" on/off make sure the vac is enough along with the amp ratings for what you need.

superbigjay:

As northerngames said, you can easilly find on the web or in an electronic part shop some nice small spdt switches that support 240V...
