Okay, wow.

--- Quote ---The Redmen are currently on a 50-game winning streak, and this year they've outscored their nine opponents by an average margin of 71-0 and a total score of 640-0. They have yet to punt.

Wow is right!  72-0 after the first quarter - nine TDs each with a 2-point conversion.  My only question, why were they going for two point conversions in the first place?

Sounds like they pretty much "shut it down" half way through the first quarter and in the second quarter the coach order no one to score another TD and to stop at the 5 yard line to attempt a field goal.  They attempted a field on first down!  Crazy.

Well, the only way to be great at them is to have done them, yes?  With a rushing team like that there is no reason not to attempt two pointers.

Yep... and even then, that can be construed as an insult to the defense.  It's just a no-win situation for the offense.  If you keep trying hard, you're running it up... if you stop trying, you're showing no respect for the defense.

If I had to guess, they attempt 2 pt. conversions because the odds are stacked in the defenses favor of stopping it. However, it really does look like bad sportsman ship when the team keeps doing it AND converting. They might as well go ahead with the extra point - it is lease demeaning.

I hate it when people ---smurfette--- about "second stringers" running up the score. Sorry, but I think it is wrong for a coach to tell his players to perform "less than 100%", or to punt early/laydown. Sorry, but you just suck if the 2nd or 2rd string rings you up.

The ONLY time a coach should be accused of running up scores is when the 1st string is still in the late stages of a game.
