I'm a huge Metroid fan, and I gotta say, FREAKIN' AWESOME CAB DUDE! I love the art you used for it, and the illuminated Mother Brain replica was a perfect touch! INVU

Congrats!  You know, its kinda mixed feeling with most of us collectors and game habbiests.  Kind of that unwritten rule, an arcade is just that and a consol is something else.  I've seen some serious flaming not only on BYOAC forum, but across the net about mixing the two style.

But Metroid is one of those games in my opinion that should have been an arcade.  Sure, probably would have been scaled way back and levels deleted, but you done an awesome job.  I love it.  Metroid is like Contra, it has some staying power after all these years.  Now Im ranting.  But anyway, consol or arcade?  Who cares, its simply awesome....

Cool. I've seen this on Google images. Nice to see the build log that goes with it. Thanks for bumping.

I've often wondered how long these homebuilt cabs would last. I still have my first one. Going on 14 yrs old now (and looks it) Still running great!

Wonder if the Mother brain is still functioning?
