mp3 tag info
« on: October 24, 2007, 08:02:01 pm »
Can Wincab pull cd image off the tag info? I really can not understand How to get the darn pictures for the cd into wincab!!

# CoverArt defines the order in which files are searched
# for cover art.  Cover art is only used for CD skins
# at this time.  The cover art found in the flder for
# the first song in an album is used.

#CoverArt1 = folder.jpg
#CoverArt2 = AlbumArt_{????????-????-????-????-????????????}_Large.jpg
CoverArt3 = *.jpg

My mp3 files look like this:
E:\Audio mp3

Folder  is the Artist name
(bon jovi)

in the mp3 tag i Do Have the picture in the Tag!

Do I need to place it in the "artist" folder also? What does it look like (file names and such?) if so How do i Identify different cd's in same "artist folder"?

#CoverArt1 = folder.jpg - Where is this folder located?!?

For the life of me i Just cant get a handle on the Cd Art- Sorry and thanks!!

At this point I cannot extract the image from the tag.  I know how to do it in theory but haven't been able to do it in practice, so for now the art must be a separate image file.

Ok thanks...probably using the png files would suck anyways-low resolution and all......

So I just build a file and find cd art and name it EXACTELY what the Tag has on it for the cd?!?? Right?

Where in the heck do you place that file!?

Plus I don't support PNG's yet...

The art that's displayed is the first image that matches one of the art masks that is in the same folder as the first song on the album.
One of the default masks is *.jpg, which means if there is only one JPG image file in a folder it will be used no matter what the name is.
