| Is my control panel too small? |

I got a free cab from my buddies dad that used to be I think a Galaga cab. I had to build a new control panel because the old one was trashed. Right now my dimensions are 28"x9". I am going with the 7 button arched layout. Now for the question, the lowest left button on the 7 button layout is 1"1/2 from the bottom edge of the panel. If I were to ditch the 7 button layout the buttons would be three inches from the edge. Is it too close to the edge? I was trying to keep it close to the original so I wouldn't have a problem getting it in the house. I went to a local arcade and most of the fighting cabs I found were the same depth as mine. What do you think? |

Don't you have space to move everything up to keep the 7 buttons but gain some space to rest your hand palms? |

It was housed in a Centipede replica (see my sig). I had no problem with it. If you don't have a trackball, then you'll have more than enough space. I think even SFII was only somewhere between 24-26" wide IIRC. |
