Apparently these are made in Germany..... they're a bit pricey but they are the coolest Game Room neon's I've ever seen !

I want 10% if you start distributing these in the US....

Well, those average "run-of-the-mill" neon's are like around the €20,-.

These are €100,- each.... Size matters too: it's 47 cm's high, not really huge, but a nice format.

Shipping is quite expensive as well. €29,- to get it from Germany to Holland....but I guess the pack it really well.

I might have to drive up to them.....but it's over 4 hours from my home, single journey...

Are you interested on getting one  (or two) ?

For USD multiply by 1.43. This is in germany anyway so you'd pay in euro's.

€20 sounds extremely cheap for a neon. Isn't that for some of those fake plexi signs or an LED sign? I checked and saw some ebay sellers ask €79 for neon signs, but they were bigger (75 cm tall).

I'd love to get the arcade game room one though.

If you have a Mac you've already got a nice widget that does ANY conversion (sizes, weight,money etc.) The rates are automatically updated on-line continuously...

One tip: If they export to outside the European Union, you don't have to pay the VAT which is about 20% in Germany AFAIK. The listed price of €100,- is including this tax....

Patrick, I think you're right about the neon's. I meant the really cheap one's you see at the DIY stores etc. It's not really fair to compare these I guess, but who knows, these may just be the "new" models from that factory....
I really wonder if they are really build in Germany. Anyway, they are worth the money IMHO.

I looked a bit more on their site: there's a link to a distributor in the US, but it looks this is only for the "Pinball-LED's", but I figure you could at least drop them a mail to inquire about the neon's....

Indeed, it seems the guy who had them made, had these made to his design (in China?). I can almost feel a BYOAC neon design challenge coming up 

Strange that he claims it's a PacMan design. I guess it's similar, but I thought the difference between PacMan/Galaxian vs Galaga/MsPacMan was pretty obvious.

Yeah I saw some US based sign shops ask prices like that too. Guess he got it done a lot cheaper in China though.

The seller of these great neon's is actually a wholesaler in GSM (mobile) phones and wanted to have mobile phone shaped neon's for his company. Since he's a pinball collector, he also ordered the pinball neon's and then the next step was the arcade (video) neon's.

So, these are custom made, not in Germany but in China of course...where else can you have manual labor for a price like that. These things ARE hand-made. (and don't forget the shipping costs !!!!)
He says normaly a custom series like this is costing much more (3/4 times).

I was comparing the price to those very small "table stand" run-of-the-mill neons which you can get at DIY stores etc. here, but of course, these are much bigger...

I wanted to get a slightly cleaner picture of the neon. Obviously in real life you get more of a feel for the brightness. The colors are really vibrant. Not something a computer monitor will be able to replicate.



I hadn't noticed before, but after level42 pointed it out, it does have a few darker spots in the blue. Even so, it looks gorgeous. I'm really happy with it and I can't wait to get a game room around it

Don't forget, you can make your own neon signs out of  E.L. Wire.  (but you might have to make a smaller version due to the fact that E.L. Wire is a much smaller gauge then real neon.)

I made this RC neon sign 4 years ago and at the time didn't know how racist the term "La Raza" is, so let me apologize for it. "La Raza" means "The Race" in spanish and is just as racist as some one saying White Power or Black Power. Any way, I did it as a joke to have a La Raza neon sign on an RC Lowrider toy and ment no harm.
And the only reason why I have posted it in this forum is because it is the only Mini neon sign I have ever made and I just wanted to show an example of a hand made EL neon sign.

Well, glowwire is nice for doing a "model" neon like The 80s man did, but it's nowhere near as bright as real neon of course.

indeed, I wasn't impressed with the brightness of my Glowire. but then i bought it years ago, maybe nowadays they have brighter stuff available. I don't recal colors like that blood red and navy blue being available. Just faded colors like cyan, light green and pinkish.
