JonathanEngr:
I've tried calling Christian's partner, Jerome Mascari, and to my surprise--no response.  I also tried to write him on his eBay account... any guesses on whether-or-not I got a reply?

I'll tell you... I wouldn't have been happy about waiting this long for my controller, but if someone had just been honest with me about the situation I would have been fine.  And geez... even if they didn't call or write me, AT LEAST respond when I write or call you!  To heck with customer service... this is a crappy way to treat someone even if they hadn't sent you thousands of dollars waiting for something in return.

Anyway, just a reminder to contact the Nutley Division of Consumer Affairs.  I plan to call Ann Marie later today to check up on things.  PM me if you have any questions, comments, etc.

I did not recieve any confirmation from the e-mail I sent Ms. Nicollette last week.  Has anyone else that e-mailed her heard anything?  If she isn't replying to anyone then that is fine, but I just wanted to make sure I didn't get caught up in their spam filter.
JonathanEngr:
I just spoke with Ann Marie, and she has been absolutely slammed with e-mails.  This is probably why she has not had a chance to reply to everyone.  PLEASE keep them coming.  She is compiling all of the information, and she will contact the Attorney General's Office on behalf of everyone.  She has been attempting to contact Slikstik, and they have even been ignoring her.  As things move forward, I'll see if she can create a mailing list to keep everyone informed of the progress of the suit, and I'm sure the Attorney General's Office will do the same with the contact list that Ann Marie provides to them.

Based on our discussion this morning, she feels that this is likely going to become a significant criminal case!   :applaud:

I hope Ann Marie has better luck with the Attorney General in New Jersey than what I did. I filed with them over a month ago and have not heard a thing.  I did get a response from the AG in my state with whom I also filed, but they just said that they have someone assigned to it and it will get back to me when they get a response from SlikStik.  I laughed when I read that and wished them luck.  ;D
JonathanEngr:
LOL!  I know the feeling!  As for the AG, they have lots of cases that come in the door.  There are so many frivolous suits out there it's difficult for them to sort them out.  This is why we need to go about it as a group effort.  First, if numerous people are involved, it's likely not just some personal vendetta from an unjustly irate individual (they don't want to get involved in a "he said" "she said" situation).  Secondly, the more evidence the case has, the more likely they are to pursue it since it will have a high likelihood of success.  Thirdly, this request is going to come from a Township inside of the state of New Jersey--not some individual from xyz town in xyz state.   As soon as it gets into the AG's hands we'll need to begin calling.  I have a few friends that owe me some favors, and I'm also going to ask them to make a few personal calls on our behalf to the New Jersey AG's office.

At the same time, I'm also filing a civil suit against them for my money, which will eventually place a judgement and lien against them.

I'm still in a tizzy abut this whole thing.  On one hand, I wonder how people can be so crooked and criminal.  On the other hand, I wonder if they're as "unintelligent" as this makes them out to be.  If you want to defraud someone, don't do it to a tightly-knit group of people who are in constant communication via a common and centralized system.  It's like calling the police, waiting for them to arrive and handing them a video camera to boot before you break into a house. I swear--this might just wind up on "America's Dumbest Criminals".
