I ordered a control panel from SlikStik in early August.  I had been giving them the benefit of the doubt but I am running out of benefit.

Their communication was adequate until I asked for an anticipated ship date.  Now my requests for status updates go unanswered.  They charged my credit card the day that I placed the order.

Color me disappointed.

i ordered a blank quad panel about 1 month ago.  it arrived within 1 week.  it may have actually been within 3 business days.  i can't remember.

however, when i ordered... i made sure it was something they had in stock, on hand, ready to ship

custom cps seem take a long time i heard a couple people saying 1 - 2 months wait

i just wanted an empty box that i could fill with my own stuff asap :) 

generic slikstik blank panel service = 2 thumbs up

custom service i duno if they are "managing expectations" appropriately

Well, to add insult to injury, I called my credit card company and was told they would not reverse the charges. Unlike most major banks, mine only has 60 day coverage for these kind of transactions and since (at the time) it was around 88 days, I was out of luck.

On SlikStik's end, still no response to my e-mails and all I get at the phone number is an answering machine.

My bank suggested I go through the Better Business Bureau, so I went online and submitted all the required info to them. Just waiting for a response back although since the BBB can't do anything to compel vendors to offer refunds, I'll probably be waiting another month with no response. At that point, though, my last option is a lawsuit, which I hate doing (courts here in the U.S. are clogged with frivolous lawsuits), but I'm so soured on this whole experience that all I want is a refund.

On the plus side, I've decided to order a blank panel (probably from ArcadesRFun), plus all the other parts, and do the work myself. I'm actually kind of excited about it!

It takes about $25 and an hour of your time to file a small-claims lawsuit.  If anything,  perhaps it will spurr their asses to refund you in a more timely fashion? 

I thought the 90 days rule was universal?!
