Which U.S. sport has the most obnoxious "superfans"?
missioncontrol:
there's no "All of the above" option
psik0tik:
Dunn says the fans are "rude as hell," and calls Philly "one of the most hostile environments... a player can play in." Indeed, when the Eagles beat the Vikings a week before the Falcons, Vikings QB Daunte Culpepper complained that the locals spit and threw things at him. Last year, Carolina Panthers fans were scared to come watch their team beat the Eagles for the NFC Championship. And on draft day in 1999, Eagles fans booed Donovan McNabb... for having the nerve to be drafted by their team. Not to mention the booed and threw things at santa thinking he's bad luck.

Yeah . . . I agree with Chad. Other people who take more of a beating than NASCAR drivers include many construction workers like jackhammer operators, people who deliver those 5-gal. jugs of water, anybody who works on an assembly line, farmers, ranchers, gardeners, carpet installers, dancers, circus performers, etc. :)
On the other hand, ping pong, darts, bowling and golf are all sports. I think your definition of sport needs work. In your defense, though, I will concede that none of the people in my list up there pretend to be engaged in a sport, so you at least have that.
