Today

I attached the monitor shelf so it is secure

Drilled and mounted monitor to the monitor shelf

Attached the monitor controls shelf so it is secure

Attached the monitor controls to the monitor control shelf

Finished wiring the 12 volts feeds for the amp and the noen rings off of the cabs original power supply

Finished wiring all the speaker up and connected them to the amp

Finished wiring the monitor and marquee light

Installed the t-molding on my cp

Ohh all of the cabs power is run off of a single switch on top of the cab, flip the switch and neon rings, marquee light, speakers / amp, and monitor turn on and off.

I choose to power the computer separate just because I wanted it that way.

I still need to wire the control panel and set it up.

I was really excited to see everything work when i turned on the power the first time, I would have been bummed if something didn't work

Here it is after I turned it on for the first time

The plexi behind the neon ring gives has a neon reflection and it looks like the neon ring has a halo, looks really cool

Bad News yesterday, I finished wiring the cp and a few of the buttons did not work, so I spent about 1/2 hour troubleshooting and found 2 loose ground connections so that is now working but the monitor would not fire up.

Looks like I am going to miss my self imposed deadline of New Years eve unless there is a miracle.

I am really disappointed, It worked 3 months ago when I bought it, I have no idea what happened, I thought I was careful every-time I handled it.

I'll post some pic's soon.

It looks great but with no monitor its kind of useless.  :'(

gatordad:
Well there was a Christmas Miracle at my house. The monitor is alive!

It turns out that when I was installing the electronics board for the monitor I knocked one of the components loose from its solder point. I had no idea that it happened, and it was just luck that the loose component was found.

The board made a quick trip to Grandpa's house for a fix-up re solder, after it was re-installed the monitor buzzed the neck glowed and I breathed a sigh of relief.

Here is some updated pic's

I wired the cp and divided everything into 4 ground groups 2 from each side.
I started with by wiring all of the grounds

Then I tried to be as neat as possible with routing the rest of the wires, not as pretty as some I've seen, but not bad for a first attempt.

Just above the trackball you can see the piano hinge that was recycled from the original cab.

After fitting the cp onto the box I did my best chisel job to make a smidge more room for my spinner

Last shot I took of the cp, I installed a chain to prevent the top from opening to far.
