Side art -- which is best, NOS or vinyl repro?

I've just sent my Pac-Land side art in to Kinkos to have it feed scanned @ 600DPI so I can touch it up and have it reproed on vinyl.

My question is this:  everyone seems to be pretty hooked on silkscreen-only repros.. is the quality of a color print on vinyl that much worse?  It seem like the material is better, in any event (thicker, less brittle).. is it just an authenticity thing?

Oh, well.. I guess I'll find out.  I think it will turn out pretty nice unless I screw up when I flip the image for the other side of the cabinet.  If this is how the majority of you are printing your side art (seems like it), then it'll get my seal of approval.

Did you ever get it printed on vinyl?  How did it turn out?

Where could I find out more about the silkscreen repro?  Haven't seen anything on that...

No money to do so currently, and other things to buy (laminate will probably come this check).  Stupid employer keeps screwing up my checks .. will be posting results when the machine is completed (just needs sideart, new marquee starter + bulb, and more monitor work -- gotten lazy cos I stuck a new-ish 13" in there and play it too much now ).

Silkscreen repros are like the kind you can get from arcaderenovations or phoenixarcade.. the process is far too expensive to just make one side art set (which is why you only see repros of stuff they know will be able to sell thousands of).
