Mine did the same thing. I had to set the sensitivity all the way down to 1% to play Roadblasters. I think for Out Run I had to set it to 3 or 4.

Sweet. I think it was set to like 50 when I first tried it, and I think I understood the sensitivity setting backwards, so I set it to like 95. I didn't notice a change. I'll try it at 1 when I get home.
TAG: Yeah, you really can't beat 10 bucks. And it is a billion times better than using keys or a joystick or something.

I don't know why I keep checking this thread. It just makes me resent you all a little more each time... I gotta get some kind of wheel setup in my cab soon... maybe even a spinner based so I can play Pole Position.
Thanks for starting the thread though, I did check 2 targets and never would have even known to try if it hadn't been for the thread. I'll just have to keep my eyes open for other opportunities.

Well I tried again last night and you are right, Roadblasters just doesn't feel quite right. I have the sensitivity way down, but it still doesn't work like Outrun. Hard to explain. I noticed that MAME lists the control as 'dial' implying optical. Outrun is listed as 'paddle'. Wasn't the original game a pot-based yoke, not optical? It works perfectly with a spinner.

Did you have them check all the Targets in your area? I was surprised they were able to do that when I called. They told me the two targets in town that had them in stock.

I tried Outrun last night and it worked great. I remember playing that at the arcade and I remember being amazed at how great it looked. Now it's amazing how bad it looks. :-) Still, it's a blast to play.
bfauska: I did as a few others in this thread have done - I called my local target, told them this number - 080000826 - and they were able to look for the thing at any of the Targets within like 30 miles of my house. And they found some at a Target bout 20 miles from my house. :-)
