Cheap Steering Wheel at Target
ahofle:
GOD YES!!!!!!!
Thank you for making Spy Hunter a reality on my MAME cabinet!!
I called the local Target and gave the numbers provided by dfmaverick and they found one in stock at another Target. I dropped by after work and picked it up for $12.48. Got home and suctioned it to the CP top -- fits perfectly between the trackball and player one buttons and holds solidly. Plugged it in and XP recognizes it with no drivers. Loaded up Outrun, and everything was already mapped perfectly! Then I realized I could finally play Spy Hunter with this thing. I can't tell you how great it works. Plus it can be easily removed and stored to save CP clutter. Thanks a million!

I hear ya! I didn't want to pay $50 - $100 for a wheel not knowing how well it would work. If it didn't work, big deal, I only paid $11 for it. I am sure it is not the best solution out there but when the wife says "hell yeah go get it"...you go get it!
Thanks again for posting this. My kids have been playing Out Run all night

I've been reading and enjoying these boards for a long time now, and I'm glad that I could finally contribute something! :)
(I also bought Saint's book to show support)
Out Run, Turbo Out Run, and Pole Position are way more fun now. ;D
I got the last one at my local store, but I haven't checked other stores. Target is weird, because their clearance prices vary from store to store. That's why some people are finding it for $10, and others for $12.
My wife and I seem to always wind up in Target for something, so if I see any other good deals I'll be sure to post them here.

UPDATE: Got mine on the way home. Was $12.48 or something before tax so $13 something after. For anyone in Milwaukee, they said there were 2 at the Miller Park Way location...

I didn't have them check, but I called all the stores within my area and asked.. The next one is in Jersey City.
I think I'll call back tomorrow and ask to see what they say...

My brother works at target, bought the wheel for 10, i went to the other target, they had none. I asked him to pick me up one the next day at the store he works, they were out. When he bought his he said there was alot of them !!!!!! Ill call the other two stores tomorrow.... My bro told me i can have his, he wont use it anyways, he just bought it because it was on clearance.
